Not yet officially sold, Samsung is rumored to have prepared two new folding phones.
A source familiar with the matter said, the South Korean manufacturer was preparing a folding cellphone with a clamshell model or similar to a flip cellphone which had a trend in the late 90s to early 2000.
This folding phone is estimated to be slimmer with a small display on the outside, similar to the design of the Motorola RAZR 2019 folding cellphone. This model is predicted to slide in 2020.
Not only that, other models similar to Huawei Mate X are also reportedly being designed. This model will have one large tablet screen that can be folded vertically like a book.
Unfortunately, there is no Samsung representative who is willing to respond to rumors of the brand-new folding cellphone. If this news is true, Samsung seems to be very ambitious about the folding cellphone market.
Chances are, Samsung will spawn a folding cellphone model each year, as has been done for its flagship series, as summarized from BGR on Friday (03/08/2019).
Because Samsung invested a lot of time in developing folding phones for years.
However, keep in mind if folding phones for now are still released as luxury devices intended for certain market segments.
Until now, it is not yet known how big the market interest in Samsung folding phones is because they can only be ordered on April 26.
